Organising any type of fundraising event is a minefield, who to approach for sponsorship, who to ask if they could provide a donation to the raffle, what do we ask parents for. Historically FoSSJ has requested a donation for our tombola in return for a non uniform day, should everyone donate that’s 200 tombola prizes.
Again historically FoSSJ has relied on the generosity of parents and local businesses to fill the raffle table with prizes, BUT as the committee have voted to get a Lotteries license from the local authority which allows the pre sale of tickets, the pressure is on to make sure the prizes attract the sale of tickets!
So it’s Ask, Ask and Ask again to everyone the committee can think of….. Wish us luck!!
